The first book ever published by us back in October of 2003, Disposable Graffiti was the brain child (or is that malady?) of Gramm Matthew. Much like the band Gorillaz, Disposable Graffiti follows the adventures of The Briar Patch Boys, a group of cartoon characters in a band that mixes the influences of punk rock, rap, electronica, bluegrass and others. The first issue focuses mainly on the group’s front man, Brer Rappit, a manic-depressive rabbit with little to live for save the release of music, which allows him the opportunity to expose the rancid underbelly of modern life.

The accompanying album to the book was done as a “demo”, being burned from a desktop computer to cheap discs with the band’s name scribbled on in sharpie marker.

Presented here is the first nine pages of the book. Select tracks from the album will be up in the near future.

So, You Ask…

Why don’t I have a ton of comic reviews up here given that I read about a hundred comics a month?

Well, it’s mainly because that due to our recent economic downturn, I have been behind on my comics reading. This all changes in a few days though, when I officially start working at Las Vegas’ newest comic/game store, Battlezone Comics. After the dust has settled and the store is on it’s way, you’ll be seeing a ton of stuff being reviewed on here from Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Image, Avatar and as many other publishers as I can get my grubby mitts on. Which reminds me,if you’re a small press publisher and you want someone to review your work, please get in contact with us.

Frankenbaby!

I think that says it all right there. Clicking the image will take you to Avatar’s website to tell you more about the project.

My initial response when I saw this:

Soon to be followed by Breast Feeding Frankenbaby. Multiple attempts to feed Frankenbaby fail in ways that range from the humorous to the frightening until a down on his luck dairy farmer comes up with the answer to our intrepid scientists problem… But there’s a cost. After that will be installations where Frankenbaby is upgraded to Frankentoddler by having the teeth of other children surgically implanted all the way to Teen Frankenstein which will be adapted to the big screen and ruined by the producers who want to turn the touching story of scientific discovery as metaphor for puberty into a raunchy teen comedy starring whatever “hack in waiting” is available at the time.

All kidding aside though, fuck yes.

So… I’ll probably pick it up when it hits shelves.
